Tails Pet Resort

Tails is awesome, and our pups love it. All the staff are friendly and professional. Our pups were not used to anything like this and just wanted to go right back out the front door. After each visit they became more and more used to it. Even after day one we got them back happy and tired. We have only used their daycare service and love it , but are looking forward to boarding them in January for a few days . We live in Spring Valley and in my opinion it is worth the drive. I here they are going to open another resort in the southwest . Can't wait to see that one. Many thanks to all the staff, you guys are awesome. Luci and Freyja

I’m happy my puppy’s were happy when I picked them up. I would like to add what could make the a better experience for the parents of the pups. I have used your boarding 3 times, however no one ever follows up verbally to tell you how your pups did. They call to retrieve them and then collect payment. That’s it. I personally would like to know if they were social, pleasant, distant, sad or what ever the report would be. I am so happy to have a place I can trust. I really appreciate the report card photo. This is just a suggestion maybe it could be considered and make the experience even better. Thank you for taking care of my pups when I was away. I have recommended your place to a few people.

I really like the attention Tails Pet Resort pays to the dogs. The dogs often have a person in the play areas with them. My mini-schnauzer has had several short and lengthy visits. We have done a two night visit—when we took a quick trip and I have boarded her for 20 nights—when we were out of town for a long trip. During the long trip it was really nice to see her on the camera playing each day. We also were able to call the front desk and ask for updates easily—like one time I couldn’t find her on the camera and they told me where to look. I like the daily photo updates, if I couldn’t watch on the camera that day. When we do our long trips I have the staff give her a bath about once a week, that way she doesn’t get too scruffy and stinky. I always bathe her immediately when we get home because she comes home from playing with so many other dogs. My dog eats breakfast, plays all day, gets pulled out for a snack and rest, then plays again, then given dinner at bedtime. She is a 14 pound mini schnauzer who is kennel trained at home, she does well in a petite suite, which is the smallest size. We have had several visits with Tails, when I bring her each time, as soon as she figures out where she is, her tail starts wagging—she really likes it here (I compare this to when we go to the vet, her tail goes down and she drags and pulls so that I end up carrying her inside when we go to the vet). I did remove one star because recently, the front lobby area has started to smell of dog urine, I noticed it in June 2023 when I dropped her off and again when I picked her up. The smell is pretty strong and makes me wonder if it’s bad like that in the play area as well. It’s unpleasant. Otherwise we really love Tails Pet Resort and the amazing staff!
